Advanced SystemCare 5.1 Released with Enhanced Support for Windows 8

Not too long ago IObit’s flagship product advanced SystemCare 5 released now Advanced SystemCare 5.1 has been released with enhanced support for Windows 8, with the addition of IObit Uninstaller 2.1 and Performance Monitor module features, more – SSD detection and registry scan features are improved.

Transform Windows 7 into XP with XP Skin Pack

How many of you wants XP look for Windows 7, nobody wants to use old and outdated technology of course we’re only changing the look here, specially Windows 8 Beta release round the corner which may release in February. XP Skin Pack  released by Hamed transforms Windows 7 into XP. You should know after this skin pack installation logon screen, cursor, desktop, explorer, dialog boxes, visual style of Windows 7 transforms into XP.

Download the program zip file, extract its contents to a folder and run the skin pack executable. Choose Custom installation during the setup and uncheck for all three options under it some IncrediBar crap nobody wants. Click Next to complete the installation, you need to reboot after that.

After reboot you’re on Windows XP kind of like that.  Make sure to create restore point and backup necessary files before installing this skin pack helpful incase to get back to previous state. Do uninstall any skin packs if any installed on your Computer.

Uninstalling XP Skin Pack

During the uninstall, you can select Files, Extras and remove Uninstaller and Backup files a quick restart brings back Windows 7. Everything went fine on your system we installed and uninstalled successfully.

Smart PC Locker Pro Auto-locks your PC when Idle

Pressing Win key and L on keyboard is all you need to lock your Windows 7 PC  to prevent unauthorized access, Smart PC Locker Pro is freeware portable  from NoVirusThanks not only allows to lock your system with a password but also disables all functions such as CD ROM drive and Task Manager.

Launch the program, type  password to protect your PC on Locker tab click Save button.You can assign hotkey to lock your PC using Smart PC Locker Pro, this program even offers the stealth mode where the program tray icon and password entering form can be hidden from preying eyes and you can restore them with hotkey assigned for it under Hotkeys tab.
You can right-click on program icon and do things such as show program window, lock Computer, change password. access Settings and Hotkeys tabs and also you can exit from the program.

Program Settings offers options to auto-lock system after certain minutes of inactivity which you can specify. You can save power by automatically turning off monitor after 5 minutes of inactivity.  Even more control for the user where the program allows to shutdown windows automatically after 3 invalid password attempts.

By default the program doesn’t configured to start with Windows which you can enable to start along with the lock screen in Settings.
