HJ Split to Split/Join Files...! Very Easy to Use

HJSplit is a popular freeware program to split and recombine files. The program is available on WindowsLinux and a variety of other platforms.
Why should one want to split and recombine files? For instance, think of a file of 50 Mb, and try to send it to a friend, post it in a newsgroup or upload it to a Website or FTP server. It is usually easier to send/receive, upload/download smaller parts than handle the entire file in one go.
HJSplit can also be useful for backups. A file of e.g. 10 gigabytes in size can be split into smaller parts which then can be burned to CD's, DVDs, copied to USB sticks or uploaded to an online backup service.
HJSplit for Windows and Linux support file sizes of over 100 Gigabytes, MD5 checksums, file-compare, "run without install" and both editions are fully portable.

I didn’t know this until MattCutts shared on Google+, it’s really cool- Google lets you drag and drop any picture from your Computer onto it’s Image search to show you similar images with relevant search results. Search by Image is a feature which allows to search (not only words) in Google Image search with a picture and displays similar images for that picture uploaded from your computer or entered through an URL

Use an Image to Search on Google to find related Images

All you need to do visit images.google.com, click on Camera icon in the search box, then paste an image URL that hosted on web or upload one from your Computer, Google then displays related  images with relevant results across the web, you can also drag and drop image from web or your desktop.

You can do this even more faster by installing Search by image extension for Firefox or Chrome. After installing the extension you can search by image by simply right-clicking on the image.

visually similar images shown by Google Search by Image

You can see the similar images shown by Google (check the screenshot above) under “Visually similar images” link for “koala” image uploaded by me from Sample Pictures folder in my Computer .

How search by Image works (video)

“When you search by image, your results will look different than your normal Images or Web results page. The biggest difference is that your results can include non-image results like webpages that seem relevant to the image that you searched for. The elements of your results page will change depending on your search and on the information that’s most relevant to that search.” Search by Image page reads .

Password Reuse Visualizer: See Which Passwords You Are Using the Most on Websites

It is not recommended to use same password across different websites, but having said that is there a way that lets you get an idea of which passwords you used the most?yes – Mozilla released Password Reuse Visualizer add-on for Firefox as a part of Watchdog project(we’ve covered Visual Hashing Extension in the past) lets you see which passwords you’re using the most and where you’re using them.  Then onwards, you can figure out where to start changing passwords and which passwords you shouldn’t reuse and the picture will improve when you start changing passwords and update your Firefox password manager.

Visualize Reused Passwords on Websites with Mozilla’s Password Reuse Visualizer Add-on

Password Reuse Visualizer displays a force direct graph visualization (using d3.js and SVG) of your passwords and sites you use on them.
Getting started: click on its padlock icon on add-on bar to activate and the visualization starts. Visualization tells the following summary.
  • Green nodes represent distinct password you use, hover over them to see a visual hash of your password and click to view your password in clear text.
  • The blue nodes represent individual sites you use, and they’re connected, by blue edges, to the green password nodes you use on that site.
  • You may also see orange box-shaped nodes that connect two password nodes. These are warnings about password similarity. Password similarity can be a wise and secure tool to use a single password across many different sites, so these warnings are not necessarily bad, or even a call to action. They connect passwords of the same "family".
