It’s really difficult to remember the last opened file in a folder in Windows, here is File Bookmark a freeware shell extension introduces concept ofbookmarking files in a folder much like we used to bookmark pages in browser to read later. This shell extension offers item on file context menu to open and set it as a bookmark and other one on folder context menu to let you open the last bookmarked file.
Bookmark files in a Folder to Identify and Access them easily
To bookmark a file, right-click on it and select open file and set as bookmark, now File bookmark creates bookmark file of size zero KB with extension FILEBM in the same folder with forward arrow icon. You can use bookmarked file to open the original one. In this way you can bookmark various files in different folders.
Now if you close the folder contents, right-click on that folder and select open bookmarked fileto automatically open last bookmarked file.
To uninstall File Bookmark shell extension, right-click on any folder from File Bookmark sub menu open Options click Uninstall tab followed by Uninstall button.
File Bookmark is still in Beta, works on Windows XP/Vista/7.
